Stephane Benoist

Originally from France, Stéphane Benoist has been living in Singapore since 1993, providing business and management advice to many European companies starting or expanding their activities in Asia. He has founded, run, grown and sold his own business in 2019. 

Today, as an independent consultant, he advises entrepreneurs, business owners, start ups and SMEs Leaders facing the same challenge. As an advisor (member) of the board of directors of various companies, he brings his vision on current and future trends and shares his experience and business sense to support business leaders in the reflection and implementation of their strategy. 

Recognized as an expert by his peers, he supports INSEAD as Director in Residence, contributing to the knowledge and practice of corporate governance through the Center.

Background

Stephane first graduated from Université Panthéon-Sorbonne with a Master’s in Finance, continued to earn a pre-doctorate Master’s in Advanced Business Practice from the University of South Australia then completed the INSEAD International Directors Programme (IDP).

In 1997 Stéphane established his first consulting firm providing business advisory, management consulting and corporate support services to companies wanting to start and develop their activities in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. Stéphane aided companies and organizations in the fields of finance, taxation and financial control. During those years Stéphane served on boards of private companies and charities, often as company secretary. His firm grew into a reputable and profitable company and was acquired in 2013 by Altios International. Stéphane remained as CEO for South East Asia until 2019.
